Friday Fun Day
I get every other Friday off work, and I try to do something fun on those days. So this Friday was really fun. Marie was visiting here from Tucson with her 7-month-old son, Evan. A bunch of the family met at Applebee's for lunch. It was the first time I got to see Evan. He is so cute! It was fun catching up with everyone else too. Those that could come were: Me, Mom, Reed, April (with sons Gavin and Ethan), Tyler and Natalie, Ron, Kathy & Holly, and of course Marie and Evan.
Holly is starting a new job in September. She will be a Nanny to

My First Blog
I want to thank April for creating this beautiful Blog for me! Don't you just love the way she did the title? It is so amazing. I would have never done a Blog if she hadn't talked me into it. Now I just hope that I find time to put stuff on it once in a while, so it isn't too boring.
I guess I'll start with my eventful day today. Work was going well at the City of Mesa Water Division. Then I got a call from a friend at work who was leaving. She asked me if I drove the Toyota Sienna in the parking lot. She informed me that I had a flat tire! So I did what every independent and strong-willed woman would do, I called my husband!! Gary came to my rescue and aired it up so we could drive it to a tire store. Well, on the way there the tire blew! I luckily was able to pull into a parking lot with some shade. Then Gary put the spare on, we proceeded to Sam's Club, and had two new tires installed! Thank goodness for husbands!!
Then sitting down to relax at home, the doorbell rang. It was a Mesa Police Officer, asking who belonged to the 18-wheeler parked beside our house. I told him it was my husbands. He said that City ordinance says a big rig cannot be parked in a residential neighborhood for more than 2 hours. But he was he nicest Police Officer I have ever met. I think his name was Doug Jernagin. He said he wouldn't ticket it tonight, but next time we might not be so lucky with a different officer.
I hope the rest of the night goes better. Andrea, Lauryn, Melanie, Heather, and Connor are leaving for Utah tomorrow. Andrea's sister Amy is getting married in the Salt Lake Temple this weekend. Melanie is going to visit her sister Melissa in Ogden. I just found out that Reed and Andrea found a new home for Roxy, their Dalmatian/Pit Bull mix puppy. We'll miss her, but I'm sure she will be happier in her new home.
I guess I better stop for now. I don't want to go too crazy with my first posting. I hope I get better at this as time goes on. I'll have to have April teach me how to put pictures and stuff on it.
